Your pet's health and protection from serious illnesses is our priority at Cammeray Vet.

We provide a complete range of vaccination services for dogs and cats, offering both core and non-core vaccines that are carefully tailored to suit your pet’s age, breed and lifestyle. Our experienced team recognises that each pet is unique, so we take the time to recommend the most suitable vaccinations for their individual needs.

With a commitment to delivering compassionate and personalised care, we strive to make every visit as comfortable and reassuring as possible for both pets and their owners, ensuring your pet receives the best protection available.

WHY VACCINATION IS IMPORTANT

Vaccines work by stimulating your pet's immune system to protect against infectious diseases.
By vaccinating your pet, you not only safeguard their health but also contribute to the overall health of the community by reducing the spread of contagious diseases.

VACCINATION SCHEDULE

We follow a vaccination schedule tailored to your pet's age, health status, and lifestyle.
Here’s a general outline:
Puppies
Initial vaccinations typically begin at 6-8 weeks of age, with boosters every 2-4 weeks until they are about 16 weeks old.
Kittens
Similar to puppies, kittens receive their first vaccinations at 6-8 weeks, with subsequent boosters every 3-4 weeks until they are 16 weeks old.
Adult Pets
Once fully vaccinated, adult dogs and cats require booster vaccinations annually.

Health Checks and Vaccinations

During your pet's health check, we will assess their overall health and determine the appropriate vaccinations needed. Regular health checks allow us to monitor your pet’s health and adjust their vaccination schedule as necessary, ensuring they receive the best care possible.

Kittens / Adult Cat Vaccinations

F3 vaccination is our core feline vaccination. This vaccinates against Feline Rhinotracheitis (Herpesvirus), Feline Panleukopenia (Feline Parvovirus) and Feline Calicivirus. Kittens usually receive 3-4 vaccinations until about 16 weeks. Adult cats are vaccinated annually.

Puppies / Adult Dog Vaccinations

We use a combination C3 (Parvovirus, Distemper and Hepatitis), Kennel Cough and Leptospirosis vaccination in most puppies and adult dogs. Puppies usually receive 3-4 vaccinations until about 16 weeks. Adult dogs are vaccinated annually.
